Mantis Akagera Game Lodge

The Mantis Akagera Game Lodge offers breathtaking views of Lake Ihema as it is perched high above the savannah at the southernmost point of the Akagera National Park. The Lodge is the ideal headquarters for conferences or touring Akagera National Park's conservation gems. It has 59 rooms, a conference space, a restaurant, a bar, and an amazing pool deck.

The animal experience provided by Akagera National Park is simply amazing. It is Rwanda's sole Big-5 reserve and the only place where the Sitatunga, a rare swamp animal, may be found.

The rare Shoebill stork, the threatened papyrus gonolek, and the highly sought-after Red-faced Barbet are just a few of the many birds that visitors may observe. Akagera is one of the top birding environments in the world with the largest reported number of species per unit area, with over 500 documented species.

The Park is the biggest protected wetland in central Africa and includes a rare mix of ecosystems, including savannah, marshes, mountains, lakes,  and forests.
