The Entrance Hall or Waiting Area

Cool relief from the blazing tropical sun may be found in the circular, grass-thatched lobby and gift store. The area's natural beauty is accentuated by the earthy tones and indigenous Samburu ornaments that have been used throughout. There are no windows, but the enormous voids between the walls provide a continual supply of cool air, making this chamber as comfortable as any other in the main building.

The lounge also has a high ceiling, but unlike the rest of the space, it has no walls on the front or sides other than a narrow, unobtrusive safety railing. Once you pass through the lobby, you will be treated to one of the most stunning views of Africa.
Gaze out the window at the drinking well and all the birds and animals that stop by when you need to relax.
What a treat to have a pool here in the middle of the desert! A local flat-stone basking area surrounds our large, free-form pool that has been decorated with mosaic tiles in a range of blue tones. In addition to the beautiful waterhole views, it also has a children's pool, an outdoor shower, and a sunken bar.

Dining

Both the dining room and the lounge are entirely open to the weather, affording stunning views of the waterhole and the immediate surroundings.
Artfully designed wall recesses house various forms of natural décor, while curvaceous buffet tables and open cooking areas serve up an extensive menu with inventive mashups of cuisines and garden-fresh produce.

Bar

Our stylish main bar is discreetly located in the lounge, next to the pool and sundeck where you can have a drink and strike up a conversation with our kind Samburu bartender.
